Carol Tatum

Carol Tatum, originally from Dallas, Texas, has been playing stringed instruments since age seven. She is also the founding member, songwriter, arranger and producer for her group “Angels of Venice”.

Carol's wedding ensemble has been performing in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties for the last 14 years and provide a combination of attractive, experienced, professional players.

Carol's group is a classically inspired group of professional musicians, providing music for events such as:

• Screen Actors Guild Awards, The Three Tenors Concert news media entertainment, etc.

• City governments (The City of Beverly Hills, The City of Los Angeles)

• Silent auctions and large charity events (Children’s Health Coalition, Project Angel Food, Serra Project, American Oceans Campaign, The Fulfillment Fund, etc.)

• Large private parties (The Thelians/Beverly Hills, gallery openings)

• Celebrity weddings (Guns ‘N Roses drummer Matt Sorum, Model Janice Dickenson)

• Retail venues and smaller parties (Disney)

• Private large to small weddings (at venues such as The Regent Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hilton, The Bel Air Hotel, Ritz Carlton, etc.)

• Holidays including Christmas/Hannakah private and office parties

When Carol's group perform, they are dressed from casual elegance to formal evening wear and are color coordinated with the event.  Their appearance, combined with their beautiful music, is very appealing and the group has received Letters of Commendation from the City of Beverly Hills, the City of Los Angeles, etc.

Their audiences have included Henry Kissinger, heads of state, Cardinal Roger Mahoney, Olivia Newton-John, Sting, Don Henley and many other movie stars and personalities.

The debut CD of Angels of Venice on Windham Hill Records (George Winston, David Arkenstone) was chosen "Critic's Choice" in Billboard Magazine.   Carol's second CD "Awake Inside A Dream" was reviewed and 'highly recommended' by Billboard Magazine.  Her rendition of "Scarborough Faire" appeared on the movie soundtrack "Big Bully" starring Tom Arnold. Carol is currently working on a new Angels of Venice CD which will be released in 2007. 

Angels of Venice sells CDs across the United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The Angels debut CD is currently on 75 national radio stations.

Carol also produced and arranged songs for many other Windham Hill compilations (“Conversations With God,” Summer Solstice I and II”, “Winter Solstice,” “The Renaissance Album,” etc.) along with other artists such noted musicians as George Winston and Michael Hedges.

Carol and her group embarked on a very successful 30 city U.S. tour and were included in an A & E Holiday TV Special entitled "Winter Solstice On Ice." Their CD of the same name charted in Billboard Magazine's Top 200 CDs for the holiday season.  The Angel's U.S. tour with David Arkenstone and Liz Story played to sold out shows.
